Tata MF files offer document

Tata Mutual Fund has filed an offer document for Tata Growing Economies Infrastructure Fund. Its 3 years close-ended equity scheme with an automatic conversion into an open-ended scheme on expiry of 3 years from the date of allotment. The new fund offering (NFO) for the scheme is Rs. 10 during the NFO period.

The investors have two options for making investments i.e. dividend option and growth options. The dividend option will have facility of dividend payout and dividend reinvestment. The dividend reinvestment option is available after the conversion of the scheme into an open-ended scheme.

The minimum investment amount under retail plan is Rs. 10,000 and in multiple of Re 1 thereafter. The minimum investment amount under institutional plan is Rs. 1 crore and in multiple of Re 1 thereafter.

The investment objective of the scheme is to generate capital appreciation / income by investing predominantly in equities of companies in infrastructure and other related sectors in India and other growing economies of the world. The investment focus would be guided by the growth potential and other economic factors of the countries.

The scheme does not charge any entry as well as exit load during its close-ended period.

The fund will invest 65%-100% in equity and equity related instruments of companies engaged in infrastructure and infrastructure related sectors in growing economies. However exposure to equity and equity related instruments of companies engaged in infrastructure and infrastructure related sectors outside India will not fall below 15% of the net assets of the scheme. The investment in other securities will be up to 35% of the net asset invested.
