Fidelity MF Files An Offer Document

Fidelity MF is planning to launch Fidelity Small and Mid Cap Fund. It is a closed - ended equity growth scheme with automatic conversion into an open - ended scheme after a period of 3 years from the date of allotment of units.

The primary objective of the scheme is to generate long-term capital appreciation from a diversified portfolio of predominantly equity and equity related securities including equity derivatives, in the Indian markets. The Scheme could additionally invest in Foreign Securities in international markets. The Scheme will predominantly invest in small and mid cap stocks. The scheme offers investment under two options namely dividend and growth. Under dividend option, the unit holder will have dividend payout, and reinvestment facilities. The scheme will invest 65-100% of its portfolio equity and equity related instruments of mid cap stocks including Indian equity securities and foreign securities. The scheme will invest 0-35% in equity and equity related securities of large cap stocks including Indian equity securities and foreign securities instruments of other than mid cap companies. The scheme will invest in investments in equity derivatives. The investment in money market instruments will be 0-35%. The scheme may invest in foreign securities up to 10% of its net assets.

Rs 10 per unit for cash plus applicable entry load. There will be an entry load of 2.50% for investments less than Rs 5 crore. However there will not be any entry load charged for the investment of and above Rs 5 crore. There will not be any entry load charged for the investment by Fund of Fund (FOF) irrespective of the amount of purchase and through switch-in from other equity schemes of the fund.

The scheme will charge an exit load of 3.00% if redemption is made within 2 years from the date of allotment. It may charge 2.00% exit load for redemption of investment within 3 years from the date of allotment. There will be an exit load of 2.25% for investment less than Rs 3 crore. There will not be any exit load charged on the redemptions after 3 years. The minimum investment amount is Rs. 5000 and any amount thereafter.
