IDFC MF Files Offer Document With SEBI – April 1 , 2009

IDFC Mutual Fund has filed offer document with SEBI to launch IDFC Capital Protection Oriented Fund (Series I-III). It is a 3-year close-ended scheme. The New Fund offer price will be Rs 10 per unit.

The scheme have 3 Series namely IDFC Capital Protection Oriented Fund - Series I (IDFC-CPOF-I), IDFC Capital Protection Oriented Fund - Series II (IDFC-CPOF-II) and IDFC Capital Protection Oriented Fund - Series III (IDFCCPOF-III).

The scheme invest in high quality fixed income securities as the primary objective and generate capital appreciation by investing in equity as well as equity related instruments as a secondary objective. There are two plans- Plan A (Retail) and Plan B (Institutional Plan) with growth and dividend option. The plans will invest 84-100% of net asset in debt securities as well as money market instruments with low to medium risk profile. While it may invest up to 16% of net assets of the plan in equities & equity related securities with high risk profile.
