On 31 July 2007 AIG Investments announced the appointment of Sandeep Bagla as Chief Investment Officer - Fixed Income. Based in Mumbai, Sandeep will be responsible for overseeing the investment and research of various fixed income related funds of the asset management business. Sridhar Narayan, the existing CIO - Fixed Income is moving internally to take on new responsibilities at AIG Investments - Private Equities Division.
Prior to joining AIG, Sandeep was Head - Fixed Income at Principal PNB Asset Management Company, India. He has also held senior management positions in fixed income fund management at Reliance Mutual Fund and in debt securities trading at ABN AMRO Securities. Sandeep is an alumnus of Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneshwar, India and is a graduate in Economics from Presidency College, Kolkata University, India.
