Franklin Templeton MF plans to launch Templeton India Ultra-Short Bond Fund and it is an open-ended income scheme. The investment objective of the scheme is to provide a combination of regular income and high liquidity by investing primary in a mix of short-term debt and money market instruments.
The scheme offers three plans namely retail, institutional and super institutional plan. Each plan offers growth option and daily dividend (reinvestment) option. The scheme will invest 0-100% of its portfolio in debt securities with maturity up to 12 months and money market instruments. The scheme will invest 0-50% in debt securities with maturity over 12 months. Investment in debt securities may include investment in government securities and securitised debt up to 100%, exposure in derivatives up to a maximum of 50%, and investments in foreign securities as may be permitted up to 50% of the net assets of the scheme.
