SBI Mutual Fund plans to launch SBI Tax Advantage Fund Series I and it is a 10-year close-ended equity linked savings scheme. The investment objective of the scheme is to generate capital appreciation over a period of ten years by investing predominantly in equity and equity-related instruments of companies across large, mid and small market capitalization, along with income tax benefit. Investment options: Dividend Option and Growth Option. Dividend payout facility is available only under dividend option.
Asset Allocation: The scheme will invest 80-100% of its portfolio in equities and equity related instruments. The scheme will invest 0-20% in debt and money market instruments and securitised debt. The plan may invest up to 50% of its equity portfolio in equity derivatives instruments. Exposure to debt derivatives in the Scheme can be up to 20% of the debt portfolio and up to 25% of the debt portfolio in case of securitized debt.
